The barn
After major renovations, North Sunnyvale Stables has relaunched with barn, paddock, and pasture amenities fit for your equine family. The property’s crown jewel is its over 20,000 square foot barn atop the hill overlooking a large pasture and the wooded bluffs above Duck Creek. Barn amenities include:
Indoor riding arena. 7,500 square feet. Washed sand footing arena (clay base) with wooden perimeter kickboards adjacent to the stalls. Observation bleachers.
28 stalls. Heavy Duty fabricated metal. Powder River brand. Power outlets (to separate circuits) available at most stalls. Communication dry erase marker board on each stall door. Wood box base and mat. Water hose at end of each stall aisle. Exterior tie-ups and mounted hay racks on certain stalls. West facing stalls have adjustable louvered vents. Near common feed room, quarantine/vet/foaling stall, round/lunging pen, indoor riding arena, saddle rack, and pasture entrance.
- Five Run-In stalls. Dutch door access to outdoor, panel perimeter areas, each with approx. 320 to 630 square feet.
- Five Window stalls. East facing windows, with closing exterior shutter.
Grooming/Farrier stations. Tie ups, power outlet, peg board, and tray to assist in beautifying and shoeing your baby.
Indoor wash station. Tie ups. Wash sink and stool/shelf.
Air conditioned restroom. Touchless sink and soap dispenser. Hand-held shower head for bigger messes (not showers). Forearm operated exit handle. Disposable toilet seat covers.
Individual tack lockers for rent. Lockable. Powered (GFCI protected). Ventilated. Partial cedar construction. Lit (by motion detector). Sized to fit tack trunks. Includes shelf and metal peg board.
Individual tack closets for rent. Lockable (many by code). Powered (GFCI protected). Ventilated. Five are lit by timer.
Common feed room with refrigerator/freezer. Can accommodate full size feed barrels, depending on occupancy.
Quarantine/Vet/Foaling stall. Dual dutch door access. Two windows with shutters. Priefert wall mount combo feeder.
Proper ventilation. Barn has venting, summer supplement swamp cooler, stall-area ceiling fans, and exhaust fan circulation to help tame the summer heat and winter cold.
The Pasture and paddocks
A great barn doesn’t mean much without the right outdoor spaces. Located alongside Duck Creek, North Sunnyvale Stables has grazing and riding spaces that feel expansive even though we’re in the shadow of “Big D.” Measuring up easily to their great accompanying barn, the pasture and paddocks include:
23 acre property. Creekside and relatively drought resistant.
14+ acre grazing/riding pasture. Coastal bermuda grass dominates the foliage. Natural but shallow pond stays filled most of the year. Elevation difference provides for great pasture visibility from barn. Most treed sections fenced off for equine safety. Inclement weather shelter. Water trough on pasture’s western end near barn. All t-posts have Safe-T-Post caps.
Outdoor riding arena. 125’ x 200’. Two entrances. Sand footing. Configured for barrel racing and other activities.
7 paddocks. Six with water troughs.
Round/Lunging pen. Approximate 60’ diameter, panel perimeter pen. Railroad tie kickboard. Observation bleachers. Adjacent to barn and indoor saddle rack.
Fencing. Safe-T-Post caps on all T-posts. Smooth wire, panels, or split rail fencing used in easily equine-accessible areas. All gates with chain latches.

Restricted property access. Security enhancements including electronic, access-restricted sliding gate leading to barn, temporary trailer, and customer parking areas.
Online maintenance request portal. Problems or maintenance issues can be reported quickly.
Online payment portal. Credit card or ACH. Ease of payment is a hallmark of our boarding agreements.
